Michael Mugaas is a lifetime resident of Mason District.  Michael graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and went on to get a B.S. in Accounting from George Mason University and passed the CPA exam in 1998.  After starting a career in public accounting, Michael moved into the IT industry focusing on business planning and forecasting at America Online, PSINet and various startups and incubators.  For the last 12 years, Michael has worked in his family’s 50 year old Annandale based HVAC & Plumbing business. Outside of work, Michael enjoys spending his free time with his wife and two children.  In addition, he acts as the Treasurer and is on the Board of Director for Pack 1229 based out of Congressional Schools of Virginia and as a soccer coach to a local team.  As a Mason District parent, local property owner and neighboring business owner, Michael is very interested in seeing the Bailey’s Crossroads and Seven Corners area developed into a thriving community for both businesses and residents.
